Curriculum
At Fundamentals Academy, we speak both English fifty percent of the time and Spanish fifty percent of the time, throughout the day.
All of our lessons have a consistent structure of Circle Time, Story Time, and Art Time.

In Circle Time, we sing songs, play games, and do activities in English and Spanish. Each day we will discuss the calendar and the weather and each month we will focus on a main theme.

During Story Time, we read a children’s storybook in English and Spanish to the students. The storybook is usually related to the theme of the lesson.

During Art Time students complete an art project which is usually related to the theme of the lessons but we also like to have art time that is more unstructured and child-led so the children can explore their intrinsic artistic capabilities. We also like to explore different age-appropriate sensory materials.

6:00 – 7:30 AM Drop off – Free Play Time
7:30 - 8:00 AM Breakfast
8:00 – 8:30 AM Story Time
8:30 -9:30 AM Morning Snack
9:30- 10:00 AM Circle Time
10:00- 11:00 AM Outside Play
11:00-11:30 AM Lunch Time (provided by parents)
11:30- 12:00 PM Story Time
12:00- 3:00 PM Quiet/ Nap Time
3:00-3:30 PM Afternoon snack and handwashing
3:30-4:00 PM Free Play, Clean Up, and Pick Up
Note: This daily schedule is only a general outline of your child’s daily activities. Our schedule is flexible and considerate of the child’s specific needs. Though we try to follow our schedule, feeding times, diaper changes and individual care, occurs throughout the whole day.
We will also engage in various enrichment activities. Such activities include, but are not limited to:
